Marko Golob član bivše uprave centralnoplanske AUKN po severnokorejskem vzoru, v današnjem Večeru (11. 4. 2013) o tem, kako slovenske banke odlično poslujejo in kako vsakoletne več stomilijonske dokapitalizacije bankam v državni lasti, ne pomenijo državne podpore bankam.

 »Menda nam bodo z nakupom slovenskih firm pomagali. Ker menda naše firme niso nič vredne? Dajte no. Večina slovenskih državnih firm je odlična investicijska priložnost, vključno s slovenskimi bankami.«

»Malo znano je dejstvo, da so bile slovenske banke ene izmed redkih bank v srednji in vzhodni Evropi, ki so v konkurenci podružnic zahodnih bank zadržale svoje tržne deleže in jim zelo uspešno konkurirale. Njihovi problemi ležijo bistveno bolj v napakah državne makroekonomske politike in dejstvu, da je bila Slovenija ena redkih držav v Evropi, ki svojih bank v krizi ni podprla, kot pa v tem, da se Slovenci menda ne bi znali iti bančništva.«
